Jet Star to open Singapore Hub

As a part of our Australia Air Wars series we take a quick look at what Jet Star is up to.

Low-cost Jet Star Airways has appointed a new CEO of its Australia and New Zealand operations amid a restructure throughout Aust that reflects the Qantas subsidiary's rapid expansion both at also home abroad.

The new chief executive Bruce Buchanan will become operations manager and group chief executive, overseeing all of the airline's operations. He also be responsible for the introduction to the change over to the Boeing 787 to the Qantas fleet throughout Australia.

Jetstar will also be introducing a new Singapore Asian Hub as they seek to increase their foot print across the region, offering new destinations from Australia to Asia. This means that they will being going head to head with the likes of Tiger and Air Asia.
